Omron 3G3RX Inverter Drive Programming
The Omron 3G3RX is available up to 132 KW 400 VAC three phase. The Inverter drive programming enables users to make their own programs to suit whatever application e.g. an unwinding application. Up to 1000 lines of code and 5 tasks running in parallel in 2 programming modes. (CX-Drive version 2.72 or higher required)
Positioning functionality
Positioning is handled by the inverter drive itself without the need for any external motion controller. Functions include pulse trace position control mode, home and position teaching.
Network Integration
Standard industrial networks, such as EtherCAT, CompoNet or DeviceNet as options. High-speed EtherCAT provides solutions for the entire system from input to output with Sysmac Series. Built-in RS-485 Modbus communications.
Vector Control
In addition to V/f control, the following control methods are included. This enables a 200% starting torque at 0.3 Hz.
- Sensorless vector control

- Vector control with a PG
The Omron 3G3RX can develop 150% torque at 0 Hz allowing zero speed load holding.
The Omron 3G3RX drive is able to increase the output current by 20% when moving from constant Torque to Variable Torque control. By doing so the Omron 3G3RX can drive a one frame size bigger motor. The variable torque benefit is higher, allowing higher energy savings in pumps and fan applications.
Space and cost saving
The Omron 3G3RX has a built-in radio noise filter/EMC filter which saves on costs and space compared with a standard external filter solution.
Long life design
3G3RX Inverter Drive has been designed with high quality components to guarantee a long operation life and minimise downtime. This includes a versatile maintenance function which warns the user in the event of DC bus capacitor temperature rises or cooling speed reductions.
LCD 5 line Digital Operator
The LCD 5 line digital Operator provides copy functions in addition to settings of various parameters of the inverter and monitors frequency and currents. Setup time and maintenance time are reduced.
